Weekly Programs:
- Discovering Buddhism - Program developed by FPMT to help take us gradually through the key ideas in Buddhism.
- Pujas - "Puja means "offering" in Sanskrit, and this practice of making offerings can take many different forms. We can do them alone or with others, with or without our teachers. They can be peaceful or fierce and done with elements like fire and water, or entire pujas can take place in the mind." Read the article here
- Meditation - Meditation is the tool we use to integrate what we learn. Without meditation, we risk everything getting too intellectual and getting stuck.
- Meditation 101 - 8 Week program which allows us to understand the basics of mediation and practice in a community setting.
- Meditation Sessions - We gather as a group to practice together. There is strength in numbers and with meditation that is also true.
Special Programs:
- Monthly Tsa Tsa painting - Tsa tsa's are plaster images of the Buddhas. According to Lama Zopa Rinpoche: "...you should know that you two are the source of numberless sentient beings’ merit. Making tsa-tsas and making offerings to tsa-tsas and statues is your quick way of bringing sentient beings to enlightenment. Even without depending on a positive motivation, from the side of the power of the objects, they can achieve enlightenment soon. You make it very easy to create the causes for liberation and enlightenment for them..." more information here
