About the Teacher:
Born in Nepal, Geshe Thubten Sherab has been a student of FPMT founders Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche since he was a child, ordaining and beginning his monastic education at Kopan Monastery. Geshe-la completed his Geshe degree at Sera Je Monastery in South India, and later returned to Kopan to serve as headmaster of education at Kopan's Mount Everest School. He then worked for FPMT International Office in Taos, NM before becoming the resident Dharma teacher at Thubten Norbu Ling Buddhist Center in Santa Fe, NM in 2014. Geshe-la currently resides in Santa Fe six months of the year as resident teacher at the Thubten Norbu Ling, and then spends the other half of the year traveling to FPMT centers around the world teaching upon request. Geshe Sherab has kindly offered teachings to the Lama Yeshe House community during his annual teaching tours for many years. He teaches in English.
