“Through relaxation we discover a whole new way of being.” - Tarthang Tulku
"Kum Nye" can be translated as "massaging (Nye) the subtle body (Ku)". Using physical movement to stimulate and expand sensation, breath, and stillness in meditation, Kum Nye relaxes tensions, emotions and stress, awakening our senses and bringing vitality, healing and balance. Kum Nye exercises are drawn from the Tibetan medical and Buddhist sciences.
"The unique value of the Kum Nye system of relaxation is that it integrates and balances two approaches, the physical and psychological...When we learn to open our senses and touch our feelings directly, our bodies and minds make full contact with one another, and all experience becomes rich, healthy, and more beautiful." - Tarthang Tulku, author of Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga
Kum Nye is a great support for new & long-time meditators wanting to deepen and enrich their meditation practice, or those wanting more tools for relieving stress and difficult emotions, and more vitality and enjoyment in daily life.
Classes held in-person at Koru Wellness, Louisville, CO.
Instructor: Justin Jenkins, MA, LPCC
Certified Kum Nye Instructor, FPMT Registered Teacher, and Psychotherapist
