Two Truths: How Bodhicitta & Emptiness Support Each Other
with Ven. Tenzin Gache
Saturday, March 25 | 10am - 4:30pm
Join us for this special program with Venerable Tenzin Gache, an American monk visiting on break from his Geshe studies at Sera Jey Monastery in India, about the Buddhist teachings on how the compassionate, awakening heart of bodhicitta and the wisdom of emptiness support each other in our spiritual life.
The heart of bodhicitta and the wisdom of emptiness are expressions of what are known in the Buddhist tradition as the Two Truths - the relative and the absolute aspects of all things.
Coming to know the Two Truths is the key to the middle way approach taught by the Buddha. It helps us build our capacity to be compassionate, brave and lovingly connected with all life, while at the same time learning to be relaxed, free and open. The Buddha expressed that these qualities can grow within us limitlessly.
Ven. Gache will lead teachings, meditation and discussion.
By donation, suggested amount $30 - $50. No one turned away due to funds.
Held at First Universalist Church of Denver, 4101 E Hampden Ave, Denver CO
